st Regis Deer Park - Day 3

Today we caught buses to go to Stampin' Up's home office in Riverton.  When we arrived  the entire staff lined the stairs and balconies and clapped and cheered until everyone of us were in the building and then some.  It was very emotional and welcoming.  We were then split into groups and given a tour of the building including the warehouse.   My favourite part was the Legacy Room where the history of SU was displayed as well as areas set up as rooms and decorated with SU products.

It was amazing to see the orders being picked, packed and shipped.  After the tour we were given lunch which was four different types of pizza a tossed salad and cupcakes.  They were also mixing soft drinks but I stuck with water.

After lunch the guests were whisked off for a game of bowls.  The achieving demonstrators remained at the home office and did some make and takes.  We were given a bag that had a pack of notecards and envelopes, 6 rolls of washi tape, a pack of 12x12 gold card stock and the hostess set "Perfectly You" which we used for the make and takes.  After that Shannon West gave us a demonstration of a new product and then we were given the product and time to play with it.  Then the guests returned and we were bussed into City Creek Shopping Centre in Salt Lake City where we could have dinner and shop.  As we left the home office the achieving demonstrators were given a stamp with their initial and "Handmade by" so mine was R and underneath Handmade by Roz.  So thoughtful and generous.

Annamaree and I had dinner at the Cheesecake Company.  I had a grilled salmon and veggies and Annamaree had Creole Shrimp.  We both had a Mojito to drink as well.  We wanted to catch the 6:30pm bus back to the hotel so we didn't do any shopping.

We have an early start tomorrow as we are going to the manufacturing plant in Kanab which involves a flight and a 2 hour bus trip.

Cheers
Roz
